Job summary

Mainsail Hotels is seeking enthusiastic servers to provide gracious, professional dining experiences consistent with Autograph Collection standards. You will greet guests, describe dishes and beverages, upsell items, and maintain service areas with teamwork.

Role requires strong communication, beverage knowledge, and ability to work long hours. On-site position at the Fayetteville, GA location with a focus on exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, equivalent, or higher.
• Experience in hospitality, preferably as a server.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use technology (tablets, iPads, computers) and POS systems.
• Beverage knowledge including wine and liquor.
• Ability to work on a team with Front of House staff.
• Experience describing dishes and beverages to guests.
• Ability to work in a clean, organized, efficient manner.
• Sense of ownership in everything that you do.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests in an efficient and courteous manner following steps of service.
• Set up tables with necessary items (flatware, drinkware, condiments, linens).
• Maintain knowledge of current menu items, ingredients, preparation, accompaniments, sauces.
• Bus tables quickly and quietly and ensure table is clean.
• Upsell menu items and pair wine with meals.
• Ensure tables are properly set during meals.
• Participate in daily cleaning of dining room and service stations.
• Attend monthly department meetings and daily standups.
• Follow cash handling procedures and explain shortages and overages.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you have

What you'll do
