Job summary

Rentex Computer & Audio Visual Rentals seeks a Quality Control Technician: Projection to inspect, test, and verify projector readiness before deployment. You will ensure Epson, Barco, Christie, Panasonic models meet standards and perform functional checks prior to rental inventory.

Responsibilities include visual inspections, firmware verification, cooling checks, and after-hours client support. Strong projector knowledge and hands-on mechanical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in AV equipment preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with projectors or AV equipment.
• Basic understanding of projection technology and signal flow.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to inspect and maintain projection equipment.
• Follow QC procedures and equipment checklists with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and documentation accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections and testing on projection equipment before deployment.
• Conduct detailed visual inspections for damage, contamination, or loose components.
• Inspect air filters and ventilation for proper airflow and cooling.
• Test power connections, signal inputs, and controls for reliable operation.
• Verify firmware versions and system configurations meet standards.
• Conduct light output and image quality checks for brightness and clarity.
• Document performance anomalies and maintain QC reports.
• Coordinate with Product teams for equipment evaluation or service.
• Assist clients with basic troubleshooting and after-hours support.
