Role Description

We are seeking a Project Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Richmond or Virginia Beach, Virginia. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and leadership, managing multiple projects related to water treatment, drinking water facilities, investigations, studies, designs, and construction services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Evaluate, plan, design, and support management of water/wastewater projects including pipelines, treatment, and pumping facilities.
2. Support construction activities such as observation, review of shop drawings, RFIs, and permit closeouts.
3. Develop design calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
4. Prepare reports and presentations; participate in client meetings.
5. Ensure project compliance with standards, quality, health, and safety regulations.
6. Coordinate project activities to meet deadlines and budgets.
7. Supervise and mentor junior staff and support team collaboration across locations.
8. Travel to project sites as needed for site visits, client meetings, and safety audits.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License.

Preferred

• 10+ years of relevant water/wastewater experience.
• Master's degree in a related engineering field.
• Experience in design, consulting, or municipal projects.
• Project leadership and client management experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit.
• Active participation in professional associations.
