Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required.
  • Hands-on experience in T&C for rail signaling projects preferred.

Responsibilities

Could you be the full-time onsite Test and Commissioning Manager in Seattle, WA, US we’re looking for?

Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, skilled, and collaborative teammates. You'll lead the charge in shaping the future of railway signaling systems by planning and executing the Installation, Test, and Commissioning (ITC) of our advanced Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) Systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Engineering, Industrial and Warranty, Verification and Validation), manage the technical supervision of field installation, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Deployment and application of Installation and T&C processes within the project,

  • Proactive management of internal and external technical interfaces related to the Installation and Test & Commissioning scope,

  • Ultimate responsibility for the CDRL deliverables and authoring of Test Procedures,

  • Ensuring ITC activities comply with plan, budget, and contract requirements, and that Alstom standards are followed,

  • Coordination with customers for site access and alignment with the approved project schedule,

  • Management of installation contractors and coordination of staffing and training for the siteteam,

  • Creation and updating of the ITC schedule as part of the main Project schedule,

  • Leading by example, testing and supporting your team testing the system.

  • Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related field) or equivalent experience,

  • Hands-on experience in Installation, Testing and Commissioning (T&C), or Verification and Validation (V&V) activities for rail signaling projects,

  • Knowledge of multiple subsystems, including signaling, track, and power, and system integration,

  • Familiarity with project management and interfacing with external customers, partners, and internal stakeholders,

  • Resilient and analytical mindset, adept at solving complex system failures and identifying root causes,

  • Flexibility and willingness to work on field assignments, including night shifts and adapt to changing circumstances,

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, capable of effectively interfacing with customers and partners at all levels.

Base Salary range: $120,000 - $180,000
