Construction Department

The Construction team manages the entire process of delivering physical data centers from shovel-ready to commissioning, collaborating with Sales, Operations, and management. They implement and execute work developed by the Development & Engineering team, leading build partners through technical feedback and schedule and budget reviews. Unlike roles that involve only oversight, Vantage empowers its construction team to make high-impact decisions, ensuring operational sustainability aligns with project goals.

Position Overview

Vantage seeks an ambitious Senior Quality & Commissioning Manager (QCx Manager) to oversee quality in construction, coordinating across projects, departments, and supply chains. The role involves representing Vantage in driving quality and commissioning efforts from design through turnover, acting as a role model and ambassador for standards in quality, safety, and commissioning.

This position can be based in Denver, CO, Dallas, TX, or remotely in the Central Region, with 30-50% travel anticipated.

Essential Job Functions

The Senior QCx Manager will lead all aspects of quality and commissioning for data center projects, ensuring systems meet performance standards through collaboration with design teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders. Responsibilities include:

• Leading testing, verification, and validation of critical systems such as HVAC, electrical, and IT infrastructure.
• Monitoring documentation of testing and inspections.
• Conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
• Handling issue resolution and providing progress updates.
• Ensuring safety and industry standards compliance.
• Preparing commissioning reports and training operational teams.
• Mentoring team members in quality and commissioning processes.
• Driving knowledge transfer and innovation in execution to improve efficiency and safety.
• Developing and implementing commissioning plans, schedules, and protocols.
• Coordinating with design and construction teams to integrate commissioning requirements.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in Commissioning, Construction Management, Automation Systems, or related fields.
• Expected travel less than 30%, with potential for growth.

• Salary Range: $170,000 - $180,000 + Bonus (market-dependent)
