Job summary

Control Point Associates, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Surveyor to join our team in Warren, NJ.

With over 30 years in land surveying, we deliver construction stakeouts, boundary surveys, and 3D laser scanning across construction, engineering, and land development sectors. The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of survey experience and is a licensed Land Surveyor in New Jersey, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of survey experience, with the successful applicant being a licensed Land Surveyor in New Jersey.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Quality control of survey documents including plans, record plots, and metes and bounds descriptions.
• Provide weekly progress and status reports to project stakeholders and management.
• Oversee surveying activities including staff, resources, and schedules.
• Maintain deadlines and ensure safety and quality assurance procedures.
• Mentor and train staff to increase surveying proficiency.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Quality control of all survey documents, including survey plans, record plots, metes and bounds descriptions, review of title commitment reports, and construction layout services.
• Provide weekly progress and status reports on project deliverables to all project stakeholders and management team
• Responsible for administering surveying activities which includes oversight of staff, technical resources, time allocations, and schedules.
• Deadline driven
• Prepare and execute quality control reviews, safety, and quality assurance procedures
• Continually seeks opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships
• Create and maintain the company’s strong presence and leadership in the surrounding market and beyond

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• A minimum of 10 years of survey experience, with the successful applicant being a licensed Land Surveyor in New Jersey
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Ability to relate to clients and people at all levels of the organization.
• Must possess excellent communication, diplomacy and listening skills; specifically, be accessible and responsive to the needs of clients.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawings and the most complex documents.
• Ability to operate a computer, using technical software and other applications, spreadsheets, and other business software.
• Driven to succeed

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Light to moderate lifting may be required.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay Range: $100,000-$140,000+ depending on experience and licensing.
