Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a skilled Project Surveyor to join our team in Atlanta, GA. You will apply advanced surveying techniques while collaborating with senior survey and engineering professionals to support diverse and exciting projects.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 5+ years in land surveying, and the aspiration to obtain Georgia licensure as a PLS. Proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD is required, along with GPS, lidar, and UAV data experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in Surveying, qualifying to sit for licensure examinations in Georgia.
• 5+ years’ experience in Land Surveying.
• Aspirations to obtain a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Georgia.
• Experience with mobile/terrestrial lidar data, UAV data, and hydrographic surveys.
• Familiarity with GPS networks and related data collection.
• Strong understanding of surveying principles and practical applications.
• Experience with GDOT standards and processes.
• Knowledge of hydrographic, GPS, lidar, and UAV surveying methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Interest in FAA Part 107 certification for UAV operation.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
• Capability to manage assigned tasks independently and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process daily field survey data using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD to create survey drawings.
• Collaborate with a Professional Land Surveyor to perform survey and design calculations per standards.
• Ensure all work complies with client standards and documentation.
• Assist survey team members and contribute to problem-solving.
• Interpret engineering documents and digital files for survey applications.
• Perform field data collection and reduction for hydrographic surveys, GPS, lidar, and UAV data.
• Support preparation of survey deliverables, including models and reports.
• Stay updated on surveying technologies and software to improve outcomes.
• Carry out additional surveying-related tasks as required.
