Accura Engineering is seeking a skilled Project Surveyor to join our team in Chattanooga. You will apply advanced surveying techniques while collaborating with senior survey and engineering professionals to support diverse projects.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Certification in Surveying, qualifying to sit for licensure examinations in Georgia.
• 5+ years’ experience in Land Surveying.
• Aspiration to obtain a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Georgia.
• Experience with mobile/terrestrial lidar, UAV data, and hydrographic surveys.
• Familiarity with GPS networks and related data collection.
• Strong understanding of surveying principles and practical applications.
• Experience with GDOT standards and processes.
• GDOT software experience: MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, InRoads.
• Knowledge of hydrographic, GPS, lidar, and UAV surveying methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Interest in FAA Part 107 certification for UAV operation.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable record.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Process field survey data using MicroStation and AutoCAD to create survey drawings.
• Collaborate with a Professional Land Surveyor on survey and design calculations.
• Ensure compliance with client standards and documentation.
• Assist survey team members and contribute to problem-solving.
• Interpret engineering documents and digital files for survey application.
• Perform field data collection and reduction for lidar, UAV, and GPS data.
• Prepare survey deliverables using industry-standard software.
• Stay updated on surveying technologies to improve outcomes.
• Carry out additional surveying-related tasks as required.
