Appalachian Field Service (AFS) is a leading provider of right of way consulting services supporting electric transmission and distribution infrastructure projects throughout the eastern United States. Our team delivers land acquisition, title research, project management, construction support, and geospatial technology services for some of the nation’s largest utility companies.
We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys helping others succeed. This position plays a critical role in supporting project teams by maintaining accurate project data, assisting with reporting, and ensuring project information remains organized and up to date.
The Project Support Specialist provides administrative and project support to Project Managers, Right of Way Supervisors, and Field Agents throughout the life of utility infrastructure projects.
This role focuses on maintaining project databases, supporting project reporting, assisting with document management, and helping field personnel efficiently navigate project systems and processes. While this position provides administrative support to project teams, it is not intended to replace the responsibilities of field personnel. Instead, it serves as a resource that improves project efficiency and data quality while allowing field staff to remain focused on landowner engagement and project execution.
Successful projects depend on accurate information, organized processes, and strong communication. As a Project Support Specialist, you’ll become an integral part of every project team by ensuring the information our field personnel and clients rely on is accurate, complete, and readily available.
This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced project managers and right of way professionals while developing a broad understanding of utility infrastructure projects and the systems that keep them moving forward.
