Job summary

The Douglaston Companies in Brooklyn, NY, seeks a Project Superintendent I to lead a high-rise construction program, ensure compliance with plans, specs and codes, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams on a fast-paced schedule.

You will manage safety, quality control, and daily logs while guiding subcontractors toward on-time completion and responsive communication with the project team.

Qualifications

• NYC licensed superintendent required.
• 6–10 years of project superintendent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety plans and procedures.
• Knowledge of budgeting and scheduling in construction.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely completion of the project per plans, specs, and local codes.
• Schedule subcontractors and vendors in the critical path to finish on time.
• Conduct quality control and site inspections.
• Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and coordinate safety standards.
• Maintain daily project logs and prepare progress reports.
