The Douglaston Companies seeks a Project Superintendent I to lead construction operations on complex NYC projects. You will ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and local codes while coordinating subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers on schedule and budget.

This role emphasizes leadership, planning, budgeting, and rigorous quality control, with daily site oversight and active collaboration across teams to deliver high-quality developments in New York City.

Qualifications

• DOB NYC Licensed Superintendent
• 6-10 years of Project Superintendent experience
• Know ledge of construction budgeting best practices
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as site safety plans
• Ability to safely navigate a construction site
• Excellent communication abilities, both oral and written, plus active listener
• Understanding of construction regulations
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely completion of the project and compliance with plans, specs, and codes
• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on the critical path to ensure timely completion
• Perform quality control duties and enforce job site quality control programs
• Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and manage safety compliance
• Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and prepare daily project reports
• Review drawings for design intent and resolve conflicts with the team
