Job summary

Joseph Michaels International seeks a Project Superintendent to lead field operations for a design-build highway and bridge project north of Tampa Bay. You will manage foremen and subcontractors, drive production, safety, schedule and budget, with FDOT work as a core component.

Based in Tampa Bay or Central Florida or willing to relocate, this full-time onsite role offers growth toward General Superintendent and long-term stability with a reputable contractor.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7+ years of bridge experience on heavy highway and bridge construction.
• Experience as a superintendent on a bridge or interchange project.
• Working knowledge of FDOT contracts, specs and reporting.
• OSHA competent person certification or role.
• Clean driving record.
• Design-build experience is a plus.
• Based in Tampa Bay or Central Florida, or ready to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Run daily field operations on bridge and highway work.
• Schedule foremen, crews and subcontractors.
• Set production goals and hold the crews to them.
• Plan the work with the project manager and engineers.
• Own jobsite safety and act as the OSHA competent person.
• Work directly with FDOT inspectors and the owner's team.
• Track quantities, production and field cost against budget.
• Keep daily reports and field documentation current.
• Coordinate material, equipment and deliveries.

An established heavy civil contractor is hiring a Project Superintendent for a design build highway and bridge job north of Tampa Bay. This is a strong opportunity for a Bridge Superintendent, Structures Superintendent or Project Superintendent who wants to run the field on a sizable job for a stable employer. You'll run foremen and subcontractors, set production and own safety, schedule and budget in the field, much of it FDOT work. Tampa Bay and Central Florida locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.
