Job summary

Codaray Construction is seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to lead field operations across projects in South Mississippi and the Gulf Coast. You will partner with the Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute construction activities, ensuring safety, timeliness, budget adherence, and quality.

As the primary field leader, you will manage subcontractors, schedules, site logistics, and safety programs while mentoring field staff and maintaining client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of construction experience, including 7+ years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities and subcontractor coordination.
• Serve as the primary field contact for clients and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project schedules, including look-ahead planning.
• Oversee site logistics, phasing, and sequencing.
• Implement and enforce site-specific safety programs.
• Lead quality control processes, including inspections and testing.
• Review contracts, drawings, budgets, and scopes with project teams.
• Identify labor, material, and equipment needs.
• Monitor costs, productivity, and schedule performance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop field staff and trade partners.

About the Role

Project Closeout & Client Satisfaction

• Manage commissioning and project closeout processes
• Maintain client relationships through warranty periods
• Ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of construction experience, including 7+ years in leadership
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software

Physical & Travel Requirements

• Ability to work on active job sites (climbing, walking, etc.)
• Frequent travel to project locations across South Mississippi
• Valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record
