Quality Labor Management is seeking a Mission Critical Project Superintendent for a long-term data center project in Montgomery, Alabama. You will own daily field operations, safety, schedule, quality, logistics, and coordination of trade partners from mobilization through commissioning.

The role requires 7–8+ years on large commercial construction projects, strong leadership, and the ability to manage complex schedules on-site for a 2+ year assignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• 7–8+ years of experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Mission critical, data center, or large industrial project experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Prolog, Primavera P6, and AutoDesk Suite; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily placement of work across trade partners and field crews to keep the project safe, on schedule, and within budget.
• Lead all safety planning and enforcement and set the project culture.
• Own quality control from start to finish with QC staff and trade partners.
• Develop, update, and manage the project schedule; oversee logistics and site utilization planning.
• Plan and manage all jobsite equipment: procurement, maintenance, safe operation, and compliance.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate salaried and hourly field personnel.
• Maintain project control systems to track status and forecast projections.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.

This firm operates a dedicated Mission Critical practice building large-scale data center and critical facility projects for leading enterprises across the country. Their integrated approach prioritizes redundancy, scalability, energy efficiency, and seamless technology integration - delivered by specialized, experienced field teams. THE ROLE We are seeking a Mission Critical Project Superintendent for a long-term, 2+ year data center construction project in Montgomery, Alabama. This is a significant, high-profile build requiring a seasoned field leader who can own the full scope of daily construction operations from mobilization through commissioning - and stay the course for the life of the project. The Project Superintendent is the boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for daily execution. You own the field - safety, schedule, quality, logistics, equipment, and full coordination of trade partners and field personnel. You’ll work in close partnership with the Project Manager, who handles long-range planning and owner relations, while you drive the daily and weekly rhythm of the work. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Pay Range

$180k-$220k per year

PROJECT DETAILS

• Location: Montgomery, Alabama (on-site, full-time)
• Project Type: Large-Scale Data Center / Mission Critical Facility

• Work Structure: Full-time on-site - this is not a hybrid or remote role

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Own quality control from start to finish, working alongside QC staff and trade partners to deliver the highest standards
• Develop, update, and manage the project schedule; oversee logistics and site utilization planning
• Plan and manage all jobsite equipment - procurement, maintenance, safe operation, and compliance
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate salaried and hourly field personnel
• Maintain project control systems (Book of 14) to accurately track status and forecast projections
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
• 7-8+ years of experience on large commercial construction projects
• Mission critical, data center, or large industrial project experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel), Prolog, Primavera P6, and AutoDesk Suite
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead large, diverse field teams
• Proven track record managing complex schedules, logistics, and trade partner coordination on long-duration projects
• Ability to commit to a 2+ year on-site assignment in El Paso, TX
• Valid driver's license required

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Base: $103,170 - $124,030
• Total Estimated Annual Comp: $204,558 - $219,762 (inclusive of bonus, vehicle allowance, and benefits)
