InfraRec. is seeking a Project Superintendent for heavy civil works in the Jacksonville area.

You will lead field operations on earthwork, site development and underground utilities, ensuring safety, schedule and quality on multi‑million dollar projects. Qualifications

• 7+ years of heavy civil construction experience.
• Experience leading field operations on civil construction projects valued between $20M–$50M+.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel locally within the Jacksonville area.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities from project start through completion.
• Manage field personnel including Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, Operators, Labourers, and subcontractors.
• Plan daily and weekly construction activities to ensure production targets and project milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and material deliveries.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and project specifications.
• Work closely with Project Managers to maintain schedules, budgets, and overall project performance.
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction sequencing to proactively identify and resolve field issues.
• Monitor productivity and implement improvements to maximise efficiency.
• Lead daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
• Coordinate inspections and maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Produce accurate daily reports and maintain project documentation.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents and Foremen while fostering a positive, high-performance team culture.

Project Superintendent – Heavy Civil (Earthwork, Site Development & Utilities)

Salary: Up to $150,000 + Annual Bonus + Company Vehicle + Full Benefits

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead field operations on major heavy civil projects throughout the Jacksonville area.

Projects typically range from $20M–$50M, with larger flagship projects exceeding $100M.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Superintendent and Operations leadership, the Project Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day management of field operations on major earthwork, site development, and underground utility projects. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on field leader with extensive experience managing self-perform heavy civil construction operations and leading large field crews on complex infrastructure projects.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of heavy civil construction experience with a strong background in earthwork, site development, and underground utilities.
• Proven experience leading field operations on civil construction projects valued between $20M–$50M+.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Mass grading and excavation
• Roadway and civil infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to manage field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and project schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working closely with Project Managers to successfully deliver complex civil projects.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel locally within the Jacksonville area as required.
