Job description

Spartan Contracting Corporation is seeking a Project Superintendent with extensive experience in ground-up commercial builds to join our team. Experience in banks, convenience stores, or other complex designs is desired. The Project Superintendent will coordinate and manage assigned job site activities for projects in the Greater Dallas/Fort Worth regions. The Project Superintendent collaborates with project managers, other superintendents, engineers, architects, owner/vendor suppliers, and other field personnel to deliver a successful project on time and on budget with the desired level of quality.

Location

Dallas/Fort Worth (Onsite/Regional). Candidates must be based in the area or be willing to relocate within 120 days of employment.

Travel Required

Frequent travel required; travel to other regions may be necessary to support team members and meet project priorities.

Salary Range

$70,000 - $110,000 per year (based on experience).

The Project Superintendent should demonstrate willingness or ability to learn new technologies, including:

  1. iPad & iPhone
  2. PlanGrid / AutoDesk Build / ProCore
  3. Microsoft Office Suite
  4. Adobe products
  5. Others as required
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license, passing MVR, drug screen, and background check
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a project superintendent in commercial construction, preferably with bank / 7-11 experience
  • 5 to 7 years of combined education and work experience highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
  • 5 years experience reading blueprints and plans
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors, equipment, and materials suppliers
  • Experience creating and reviewing RFIs and submittals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dual Spanish/English fluency a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred

Physical Demands

While performing duties, employees may be exposed to weather conditions, fumes, dust, mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical risks, and loud environments. Regularly, the employee must walk, climb, stand, communicate, see clearly, reach, operate tools, and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
