Kinzler Construction Services in Ankeny, IA seeks a Residential Project Superintendent to lead residential construction crews, oversee projects from start to finish, and support operations and sales teams. You will represent the company at site meetings, monitor installation teams, and ensure quality and timely execution.

The role requires strong leadership, a background in construction supervision, and the ability to manage multiple projects while upholding safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management with 2 years of supervisory experience, OR a high school diploma with 5 years of supervisory construction experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and estimate blueprints and computer-based building plans.
• Must obtain OSHA 10 within 6 months of hire.
• Must possess clean driving record and ability to obtain CDL.
• Strong time and project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and hold crew accountable for daily production and quality assurance.
• Oversee residential construction projects from beginning to completion for all Kinzler scopes of work.
• Promote Kinzler’s values and maintain a professional attitude on site.
• Communicate project status and progress to customers, team members, and management.
• Identify changes and opportunities to reduce cost; coordinate with Project Manager.

Kinzler Construction Services of Ankeny, IA is looking to hire a Residential Project Superintendent to manage residential projects and assist the operations and sales teams. The primary responsibilities are representing Kinzler Construction Services in jobsite project meetings, assisting operations in the development and execution of work plans, and monitoring performance of the installation teams on applicable projects.

• Lead, manage, and hold crew accountable for daily production and quality assurance.

• Demonstrate a willingness to work through difficult situations constructively with your supervisor, crew members and clients & their representatives, while fostering trust, respect, and strong working relationships.
• Oversee & direct residential construction projects from beginning to completion for all Kinzler scopes of work.
• Decreases callback expense by checking all residential work prior to inspection.
• Making necessary repairs to reduce cost, when possible.
• Identify change order opportunities and communicate with Project Manager.
• Effectively communicate project expectations and progress to customers, team members, and management in a timely and clear manner.
• Deal promptly and fairly with customer complaints.
• Thoroughly knowledgeable about Kinzler product offerings, install best practices, and quality control of our vendors’ products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management with 2 years of supervisory experience, OR high school diploma/GED with 5 years of construction industry experience and 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and estimate blueprints and computer-based building plans.
• Knowledge building products, construction details, relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Excellent time and project management skills.
• Competent in conflict and crisis management.
• Ability to operate a forklift and maintain forklift certification.
• Must have and maintain clean driving record and possess the ability to obtain CDL.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10 within 6 months of hire.
• Must possess above average computer skills with desire to learn.
• Ability to use good judgement and problem-solving skills while striving to work safely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to always demonstrate a respectful and professional demeaner with strong customer service skills.
• Good interpersonal communication skills and the ability to read, speak, and write the English language.
