Job Summary

Kinsley is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Foreman/Superintendent to join our growing building team in Hagerstown, MD. As a general contractor, the Foreman/Superintendent is responsible for directing and coordinating activity associated with the construction of the project in accordance with established schedules, budgets, plans, specifications and procedures. A successful candidate will lead by example, motivate crew members and efficiently manage the job. This position is considered safety sensitive.

Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Effectively lead and manage Kinsley’s self‑perform crews through a hands‑on approach.
• Successfully manage and schedule subcontractors.
• Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
• Plan, schedule and utilize necessary manpower, tools, materials and equipment needed to complete the job.
• Receive material deliveries and maintain on‑site inventory.
• Responsible for completing daily timesheets and maintaining daily logs.
• Use tools and operate equipment in compliance with Kinsley’s safety policies and procedures when necessary.
• Comprehend and follow blueprints and specifications to meet needs of the project.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of field leadership experience.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of all aspects of building construction.
• Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials.
• Ability to read and follow construction site drawings, blueprints, diagrams and specifications is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test and a DOT physical.
