Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. seeks a Project Structural Welder in Channelview, TX to set up, operate and adjust welding equipment on carbon and stainless steel parts in all positions.

You will follow documented procedures, perform carbon arc cutting and gouging, and use forklifts/cranes to move pieces. The role requires 1st or 2nd shift availability, overtime, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass multiple welder qualification tests
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a production environment
• Ability to perform simple computer operations
• Be available to work 1st and 2nd shift
• Ability to work overtime to support production demands
• Ability to work well individually or in a team environment
• One (1) to three (3) years of GMAW or FCAW welding experience

Responsibilities

Project Structural Welder

As a Structural Welder, you will set up, operate and adjust manual and/or automatic machines to perform welding operations in all positions.

Summary Pay Range
