Job summary

TYLin seeks a Project Structural Engineer to join the Buildings team in Syracuse, New York. You will perform structural design for diverse building projects, spanning steel, concrete, masonry, and wood, and assist in drawings and specs.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering, 3–6 years’ experience, and REVIT proficiency. P.E./S.E. licenses are a plus. We value collaboration, integrity, and innovative, sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• 3–6 years of experience in structural engineering for buildings.
• P.E. license preferred; S.E. license asset.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software and REVIT.

We are seeking a Project Structural Engineer to join our TYLin | Buildings team in Syracuse, New York.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Coordinating with staff and clients on projects.

QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.
• P.E. license preferred; S.E. license would be considered an asset.
• 3-6 years of experience in the execution of residential, commercial, or institutional buildings projects as a Structural Engineer is required.
• Experience in historic buildings preservation would be considered an asset.
• Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g. RISA, SAP, RAM).
• Working knowledge of REVIT.
• Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
