TYLin is seeking a Project Structural Engineer to join our Buildings team in Buffalo, New York. You will perform structural design and analysis for diverse building projects, including coordination with clients and staff.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering and 3–6 years of relevant experience; a P.E. is preferred and an S.E. license is a plus. Proficiency with RISA, SAP, RAM, and REVIT is expected.

Within that broad range, we offer further expertise in specific services including architectural services, code consulting, façade engineering, lightweight structures, and construction support services.

We are seeking a Project Structural Engineer to join our TYLin | Buildings team in Buffalo, New York.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Coordinating with staff and clients on projects.

QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.
• P.E. license preferred; S.E. license would be considered an asset.
• 3-6 years of experience in the execution of residential, commercial, or institutional buildings projects as a Structural Engineer is required.
• Experience in historic buildings preservation would be considered an asset.
• Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g. RISA, SAP, RAM).
• Working knowledge of REVIT.
• Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

Additional InformationTYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$70,000 - $100,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
