Job summary

MS Technology is seeking a detail-oriented Project/Staff Accountant to join our team. You will handle project reports, billing, accounts payable, and provide financial analysis to support decision-making.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of related experience or an Associates degree, familiarity with Unanet, and exposure to government contracting. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in accounting or related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in accounting, finance, business or related field.
• Experience with Unanet or similar accounting software preferred.
• Working knowledge of multi-entity reporting preferred.
• Experience in government contracting (DOE, DOD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project Administration: setup and maintain projects in ERP (Unanet) and establish cost codes and billing rates.
• Billing/AR: prepare customer billings and monitor accounts receivable.
• General Accounting: GL reporting and month-end close support.
• Timekeeping: oversee timesheet intake and accuracy.
• Payables: process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding.
• Purchasing/Procurement: support purchase orders and requisitions.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.
