Job description

The person in this position directly impacts the development and creation of affordable housing from the early design and permit phase through construction, and inspection. Also, using specialized inspection training provided by the City, ensures that the housing funded with Federal funds is safe for the families. They work directly with developers, loan officer supervisor, and vendors as necessary, as well as inspection personnel.

Experience, Education, and Training
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's in Construction Management or related discipline;
PLUS
  • At least at least two years of related work experience;
OR
  • Two years of vocational training in building construction or related discipline plus four years of related work experience;
OR
  • Six years professional work experience in construction management, property rehabilitation, or construction project coordination.
Licensing/Certification
  • Will be required to obtain EPA Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting Certification and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Housing Quality Standards Inspector certification (or relevant alternate allowed by HUD) within the first year of employment, depending on assignment.
