GeoSystems Analysis, Inc., a Trinity Consultants team, seeks a Project Scientist to join our growing southwest team in Tucson, AZ. You will collect, analyze, and interpret field and laboratory data, support hydrologic investigations, and assist with modeling and reporting for domestic and international clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related earth science field is required.
• Master's degree in a related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum of five years of relevant research or environmental science experience.
• Experience with mine closure, mine water management, or related environmental projects is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to project sites in the Western U.S. and internationally is required or preferred.
• Experience with groundwater flow and transport modeling software such as MODFLOW or HYDRUS is preferred.
• Spanish language fluency (written and spoken) is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams led by technical experts in mine closure, groundwater modeling, and environmental restoration.
• Support mine closure projects involving tailings facilities and related structures.
• Assist with water balance evaluations for tailings and heap leach facilities.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret physical, hydraulic, and geochemical data.
• Conduct field investigations including borehole drilling oversight and monitoring-well installation.
• Support installation, operation, and troubleshooting of environmental monitoring systems.
• Analyze data using statistical, geospatial, and hydrologic methods to develop conclusions.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and regulatory agencies.
• Participate in field assignments at domestic and international locations with safety focus.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and project teams.
• Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and QA activities.
