Job summary

GeoSystems Analysis, Inc., a Trinity Consultants team, is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Hydrogeologist to join our southwest team in Tucson. You will support groundwater, surface water, soil, and ecological projects through field investigations, modeling, and technical analysis.

Ideal candidates have a degree in natural resources with 3–5 years in consulting, GIS/Python experience, and willingness to travel in the Western U.S. and internationally. Competitive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a natural resources sciences field related to water resources.
• Three to five years of progressive experience in a consulting environment.
• Preferred experience in GIS analysis, programming (Python), numerical modeling, field data collection, and data analysis/report writing.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project sites in the Western U.S. and/or internationally.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of hydrologic processes to describe water movement across the land surface, vadose zone, and groundwater.
• Perform numerical modeling for surface water, groundwater and unsaturated flow.
• Conduct fieldwork including soil and drillhole sampling, geologic logging, well completion, and installation/monitoring of groundwater and vadose zone instruments.
• Collect and analyze surface water and groundwater samples.
• Manage field investigations and monitoring, including soil and water sampling, geologic logging, and installation of monitoring instruments.
• Interpret data to assess and predict land use impacts on soil and groundwater quality and resource availability.
• Collaborate with hydrogeologists, hydrologists, ecologists, engineers, and other environmental professionals.
• Prepare clear, concise technical reports for clients.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines during all activities.
