Job summary

Braun Intertec is seeking a Project Scientist to lead and manage environmental projects, including Phase I and II ESAs, Brownfield remediation, and reporting. The role involves budgeting, client communications, project setup, and directing field staff to complete all project aspects.

We value mentoring of junior staff, coordinating with internal and external resources, and producing accurate cost estimates and comprehensive reports.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree in Geology, Earth or Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6+ years of related experience in environmental assessment, investigations, and remediation.
• OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper training.
• Direct experience with Brownfield Programs (VIC, PBP).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Phase I ESAs and Phase II ESAs and related investigations.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for environmental investigation and remediation projects.
• Prepare response action plans and manage client communications.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with internal/external resources.
