Job summary

LVI Associates in Massachusetts is seeking a Project Scheduling Manager to lead the planning and management of schedules across the full project lifecycle for large energy infrastructure initiatives in North America.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate baselines, monitor progress, conduct risk analyses, and deliver insightful reports to leadership, enabling on-time commissioning and COD.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, or related field.
  • 5+ years of project scheduling experience in large industrial, infrastructure, energy, or EPC projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling methodologies.
  • Experience reviewing contractor schedules within EPC/owner-representative environments.
  • Understanding of project execution from development to COD (commercial operation).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Create baseline schedules for development through commissioning milestones.
  • Review contractor and EPC schedules to ensure alignment with objectives.
  • Perform schedule risk assessments, scenario modeling, and recovery planning.
  • Track project progress, analyze schedule performance, and identify risks to milestones and COD.
  • Generate schedule reports, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules for leadership.
  • Support cost forecasting and Earned Value Management (EVM) data integration.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure scheduling processes follow company standards and contractual obligations.

Join a growing energy infrastructure organization focused on developing and managing large-scale power generation and energy projects across North America. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical projects that support grid reliability, energy security, and the evolving power landscape.

The Project Scheduling Manager will play a key role in planning, developing, and managing project schedules throughout the full project lifecycle, from early-stage development and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, and commercial operation. This individual will collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to ensure project schedules are accurate, actionable, and aligned with strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software.
  • Create and monitor baseline schedules covering development, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational milestones.
  • Review and oversee contractor and EPC schedules to ensure alignment with project objectives, contract requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Perform schedule risk assessments, scenario modeling, and recovery planning to address potential delays.
  • Track project progress, analyze schedule performance, and identify risks to key milestones and commercial operation dates.
  • Generate schedule reports, executive dashboards, and look-ahead schedules for leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Support cost forecasting and Earned Value Management (EVM) efforts through integration of schedule and project controls data.
  • Evaluate schedule impacts related to change orders, scope changes, and potential claims.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to maintain alignment on critical path activities and project milestones.
  • Ensure scheduling processes follow company standards, contractual obligations, and established project controls practices.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of project scheduling experience supporting large industrial, infrastructure, energy, or EPC projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling methodologies and project controls best practices.
  • Experience reviewing and managing contractor schedules within an EPC or owner-representative environment.
  • Strong understanding of project execution from development through construction, commissioning, and commercial operation.
Preferred
  • PMP, PMI-SP, PSP, or equivalent project controls certification.
  • Experience supporting conventional power generation, combined cycle, gas turbine, renewable energy, or other major energy infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM), schedule risk analysis, and project forecasting methodologies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in complex project environments.
