Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Project Scheduler Staff for the Oologah, Oklahoma onsite role. The candidate will coordinate team activities, support Project Managers, and perform schedule maintenance with data collection and reporting to senior management.

The role requires strong scheduling technique knowledge, ability to work with site execution teams and contractors, and a proactive, self-motivated mindset with excellent communication skills.

  • Communicate schedule status to project stakeholders.
  • Support project governance standards and procedures.
  • Diagnose and resolve scheduling issues and mentor peers.
  • Coordinate schedule and cost integration including SPI/CPI processes.
  • Provide risk assessments and mitigation recommendations.

Project Scheduler Staff
Location:

Role Overview

This role is responsible for coordinating team activities and supporting Project Managers. With minimal supervision, the successful candidate will perform duties as a scheduler and commodity tracker for major projects. This position requires a self-motivated, communicative, and team-focused individual who can demonstrate competency in scheduling techniques and analyses. The role involves schedule maintenance, collecting progress data, developing reports, and providing accurate information to senior management, as well as interfacing with site execution teams and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define activities, durations, work sequences, and relationship logic to develop and implement the work plan and milestones.
  • Develop fully integrated outage schedules, including resource loading and leveling, for complex work execution teams using critical path methodology.
  • Mentor and assist junior schedulers in organizing schedule review meetings with all stakeholders.
  • Engage the team to create schedules and provide analysis updates, alerting them to risks and issues that could delay milestones.
  • Communicate schedule status to project stakeholders.
  • Direct and guide the administration of project management organizational standards.
  • Adhere to the guidance and standards put forth by the Project Management Governance Committee.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with work schedules and mentor junior schedulers on scheduling systems and software.
  • Perform or coordinate schedule and cost integration, including SPI/CPI processes.
  • Work with project teams to provide risk assessments and recommended mitigation actions.
Required Qualifications
Education:

Education and experience requirements are interdependent. Qualified degrees must be in a related field such as Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Technology, or Project Management from an accredited university or college.

  • With a High School Diploma or GED, 7 years of qualified experience is required.
  • With a qualified Associate's degree, 5 years of qualified experience is required.
  • With a qualified Bachelor's degree, 3 years of qualified experience is required.
Experience

Qualified experience includes utility-specific operations knowledge with a working knowledge of work processes and procedures. Experience should be in design, operations, planning, project management, cost tracking analysis, forecasting, project budgets, or construction or maintenance of systems and equipment.

Technical Skills
  • 5+ years of Primavera P6 Experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including the ability to develop complex spreadsheets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A professional or trade certification such as a CCMP, CETa, IQCP, PMP, or RMP is preferred for candidates with a qualified degree and required for those without.
Other Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Aptitude for accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to achieve goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work and collaborate well with others as a team player.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual able to work under general supervision.
  • Availability to work overtime, call-out overtime, and shift work as required.
  • Proficient at reviewing scope, client requirements, and project objectives to develop a strategy for effective project delivery.
  • Ability to perform light physical duties at various work sites in varying conditions, which may include construction site walkdowns on unstable surfaces and climbing ladders.
