Job summary

Globalchannelmanagement is seeking a Project Scheduler to build and manage schedules for large energy projects, from permitting through construction. You will lead baselines, manage the critical path, and coordinate with the project team.

The role requires expert Primavera P6 skills and scheduling experience on pipeline, facilities or energy capital projects, with strong WBS and baseline management knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction or business or equivalent experience is required.
• Expert-level Primavera P6 skills are required for full scheduling responsibility.
• Scheduling experience on pipeline, facilities or energy capital projects is essential.
• Strong knowledge of WBS, cost estimates, critical path and baseline management.
• Understanding every project phase: permitting, land, survey and construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead creation and approval of baseline schedules with the project team.
• Build and maintain schedules in Primavera P6 using templates and WBS.
• Update schedules monthly before construction and weekly during it; forecast delays.
• Find and manage the critical path; develop recovery plans with the team.
• Review contractor schedule submissions for baseline and progress.
• Manage gate baselines and produce reports: critical path, 2–4 week look-aheads, milestones and variances.
• Report schedule status and key risks to project management.

Project Scheduler for a major energy and natural gas pipeline company. You'll build and manage schedules for capital projects, including pipelines and facilities, from permitting through construction.

What you'll do:

• Lead creation and approval of baseline schedules with the project team
• Build and maintain schedules in Primavera P6 using standard templates and work breakdown structures (WBS)
• Update schedules monthly before construction and weekly during it; forecast and assess the impact of delays
• Find and manage the critical path, and work out recovery plans with the project team
• Review contractor schedule submissions (baselines and progress updates) for compliance
• Manage gate baselines and produce standard reports: critical path, 2–4 week look-aheads, milestones and schedule variance
• Report schedule status and key risks to project management

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction or business, or equivalent experience
