Job summary

The Walsh Group in LaPorte, IN, seeks a Project Scheduler for its Data Center Group. You will develop and manage baseline schedules, coordinate with project teams, and analyze risks to keep projects on time and on budget.

Responsibilities include preparing reports, leading scheduling meetings, and supporting budget forecasting across complex nationwide projects. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of project scheduling experience.
• Primavera experience required (P6 preferred).
• Understand baseline, progress and recovered schedules, float, critical path and constraints.
• Claim experience is required.
• Time impact analysis experience required.
• Ability to multi-task in large teams and solve complex problems.
• Some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develops a baseline schedule with project management, superintendents and subcontractors.
• Maintains and analyzes the project schedule using best practices and scheduling software.
• Includes coding/loading of resources, costs and general sequencing.
• Coordinates project controls to assess risk per standards.
• Prepares risk/impact assessments of schedule changes for the team.
• Analyzes all changes to schedule and impact on cost/time.
• Documents, analyzes and reviews change orders and delays.
• Leads scheduling meetings with appropriate representation.
• Prepares detailed weekly, monthly, quarterly reports for staff distribution.
• Works with accounting to forecast and manage the project budget.
• Performs claim mitigation and contingency what-ifs.
