Position Review:

CMS Energy is seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler IV to support our project teams in the development, tracking, and maintenance of complex project schedules. This role requires extensive experience with Primavera P6 and a deep understanding of project controls, scheduling techniques, and critical path analysis. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure schedule accuracy, identify risks, and drive timely project delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6. Coordinate with project teams to collect inputs and validate schedule data. Integrate and manage multiple project schedules and timelines across disciplines. Perform critical path and schedule quality analyses to ensure accurate forecasting.
• Monitor milestones and track project performance against established baselines.
• Identify and assess scheduling risks, proposing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Prepare and deliver standard and custom reports, including look-ahead schedules, variance analyses, and progress updates. Support resource and cost-loaded scheduling, including Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting. Maintain adherence to internal project controls and gating processes.

Preferred Skills:

Proficient in Primavera (P6) scheduling software.

Experience with large-scale projects and cross-functional team coordination.

Strong understanding of project control methodologies and best practices.

Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Certifications (Preferred but not required): PMP (Project Management Professional) PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) or CST (Certified Scheduling Technician) – AACEI Familiarity with Project Gating procedures.

Prior experience with SQL coding is a plus.

Education Requirements:

Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or master’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
