Responsibilities

  • Build new schedules and maintain existing ones throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop integrated schedules based on lifecycle events, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Ensure schedules have complete network logic and clear critical paths.
  • Analyze schedules to identify risks, drivers, and milestones.
  • Track schedule performance against milestones and commitments.
  • Develop customized schedule reports and status information for reviews.
  • Identify schedule risks, constraints, and potential delays before they impact milestones.
  • Assess impacts from changes in cost, requirements, or baselines.
  • Develop and recommend schedule workarounds and recovery plans.
  • Present schedule status and metrics in meetings and reviews.
  • Support integration of cost and schedule information for feasibility.
  • Coordinate with activity owners to obtain status and validate data.
  • Promote standardization and continuous improvement of scheduling tools and processes across the branch and division.

Description:

LZ Technology is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support NASA’s Engineering Avionics Human Interface Branch (EV3) . This position will support NASA Human Spaceflight Programs, including Artemis and Moon Base initiatives , by developing, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting technical project schedules associated with the delivery of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).

This role requires a combination of independent analytical work and close collaboration with NASA technical leads, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. The Scheduler will be responsible for building and maintaining schedules, tracking milestones, identifying schedule risks and critical paths, and providing meaningful schedule information that supports project decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage technical project schedules supporting NASA Human Spaceflight Programs.
  • Support project teams responsible for delivering Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) to NASA’s Artemis and Moon Base Programs.
  • Collaborate with NASA technical leads, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and maintain accurate project schedules.
  • Build new project schedules and maintain existing schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop integrated schedules based on project lifecycle events, technical activities, dependencies, and major milestones.
  • Ensuring schedules are properly structured with complete network logic, appropriate dependencies, and the ability to identify and report critical paths.
  • Analyze initial and ongoing project schedules to identify critical paths, schedule drivers, and key management-level milestones.
  • Track schedule performance and progress against established milestones and commitments.
  • Develop customized schedule reports, metrics, and status information for project and management review.
  • Identify schedule risks, constraints, conflicts, and potential delays before they impact major project milestones.
  • Assess schedule impacts resulting from changes to project cost, technical requirements, resources, or established baselines.
  • Develop and recommend schedule workarounds, mitigation strategies, and recovery plans to support effective project decision-making.
  • Present schedule status, risks, critical-path information, milestones, and metrics during project meetings and reviews.
  • Support integration of project cost and schedule information to help ensure project budget, resource, and schedule requirements are achievable.
  • Work directly with individuals responsible for scheduled activities to obtain status, validate progress, and identify changes affecting schedule commitments.
  • Support standardization and continuous improvement of project-management scheduling tools, processes, reporting practices, and methodologies across the branch and division.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant project scheduling, project controls, or integrated scheduling experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed project schedules.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Project .
  • Experience developing logic-driven schedules using dependencies, milestones, predecessor/successor relationships, and critical-path analysis.
  • Ability to evaluate schedule health and identify risks, constraints, impacts, and potential schedule conflicts.
  • Experience tracking project milestones and developing schedule status reports and metrics.
  • Ability to communicate schedule information clearly to technical personnel, project managers, and leadership.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently when developing and analyzing schedules while collaborating extensively with project stakeholders to obtain status and validate schedule information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within complex technical project environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, engineering, or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.
