Job summary

Garney in Tampa, Florida is seeking a Project Scheduler to join our team on heavy civil construction projects. This full-time, salaried role offers comprehensive benefits and participation in the ESOP.

You will develop, manage, and update project schedules from RFP through final submission, attend site meetings, generate progress reports, and support schedule recovery efforts as needed. Strong P6/Primavera skills required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of heavy civil construction scheduler experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science/Management/Engineering or Civil Engineering preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Primavera Cloud and P6.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage conceptual, bidding, and final project schedules for estimating, preconstruction, and operations teams.
• Attend job site meetings and coordinate with stakeholders to develop schedules.
• Create standard and custom graphs/charts for site personnel to monitor progress.
• Maintain a database of activity groups with as-built information for future use.
• Prepare Time Impact Analyses for schedule risks to budget and timeline.

GARNEY

A Project Scheduler position is available at Garney in Tampa, Florida. This is a full-time, salaried position with full benefits and participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

What You Will Be Doing

• Develop and manage conceptual (RFP), bidding (preconstruction), and final project schedules from preliminary and ongoing project information for estimating, preconstruction, and operations departments use
• Attends job site meetings, work and meet with stakeholders, and contact and visit job sites in order to develop the project schedule
• Develops standard and custom graphs and charts for site personnel to manage the project
• Builds and maintains a database of activity groups with as-built information for future use and reference
• Prepares Time Impact Analysis for identified risks to schedule and budget
• Provides support and guidance to ensure the baseline schedule submission is timely, complete, accurate, and in compliance with standard company procedures and the contract
• Assists jobs as needed with schedule maintenance and change order management
• Participates in meetings regarding project delay issues and suggest alternative means and methods of scheduling in order to recover the project’s progress as appropriate
• Prepares monthly schedule status report for project management and the Scheduling Manager

What We Are Looking For

• Advanced knowledge of Primavera Cloud and P6
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or Civil Engineering preferred
• 7+ years of heavy civil construction scheduler experience
• Ability to interface and effectively communicate with others
• Proven skill and ability to identify and mitigate scheduling issues for simple and complex construction projects
• Advanced knowledge of the generation and maintenance of cost and resource-loaded schedules
• Ability to self-prioritize and self-start projects and tasks
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Advanced verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• Preferred experience in 4D & 5D BIM Modeling
• Preferred experience with Procore
• Preferred experience with DroneDeploy
