Job summary

Garney is seeking a Project Scheduler in Englewood, CO to develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules using ASTA Powerproject and best-practice project management. You will collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of ASTA Powerproject.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science/Management/Engineering preferred.
• 7+ years of heavy civil construction scheduler experience.
• Ability to interface and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Proven skill mitigating scheduling issues on complex projects.
• Proficient with generation and maintenance of cost/resource loaded schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage conceptual, bidding, and final project schedules for estimating, preconstruction, and operations.
• Attend job site meetings and visit sites to develop the project schedule.
• Create standard and custom graphs/charts for site personnel to manage schedules.
• Build and maintain a database of activity groups with as-built information for future reference.
• Prepare Time Impact Analyses for risks to schedule and budget.
• Ensure baseline schedule submissions are timely, complete, and compliant with procedures.

A Project Scheduler position is available at Garne y . As a Project Scheduler , you will develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules to support successful and timely project delivery, utilizing your expertise inASTA Powerproject and project management methodologies while collaborating closely with project teams and stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Develop and manage conceptual (RFP), bidding (preconstruction), and final project schedules from preliminary and ongoing project information for estimating, preconstruction, and operations departments use
• Attends job site meetings, work and meet with stakeholders, and contact and visit job sites in order to develop the project schedule
• Develops standard and custom graphs and charts for site personnel to manage the project
• Builds and maintains a database of activity groups with as-built information for future use and reference
• Prepares Time Impact Analysis for identified risks to schedule and budget
• Provides support and guidance to ensure the baseline schedule submission is timely, complete, accurate, and in compliance with standard company procedures and the contract
• Assists jobs as needed with schedule maintenance and change order management
• Participates in meetings regarding project delay issues and suggest alternative means and methods of scheduling in order to recover the project’s progress as appropriate
• Prepares monthly schedule status report for project management and the Scheduling Manager

• 7+ years of heavy civil construction scheduler experience

• Proficient with the generation and maintenance of cost and resource loaded schedules
• Ability to self-prioritize and self-start projects and task work
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Advanced verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
