Job summary

CCS Construction Staffing seeks a Project Scheduler to support major commercial projects in the Triad area. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and updating CPM schedules across the project lifecycle to ensure on-time milestones.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, analyzing variances, preparing reports, and coordinating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and general contractors. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in scheduling are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field required or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction scheduling, planning, or project controls.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update integrated CPM schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create baseline schedules and schedule narratives for project approval.
  • Monitor project progress and identify schedule impacts to critical activities.
  • Analyze schedule variances and recommend recovery strategies.
  • Prepare schedule updates, progress reports, trend analyses, and executive reporting.
  • Maintain documentation related to scope changes, schedule impacts, and project trends.
  • Review schedules submitted by architects, engineers, subcontractors, and general contractors.
  • Verify schedule logic, float paths, sequencing, and constructability.
  • Evaluate activity sequencing and recommend adjustments to achieve project milestones.
  • Perform resource loading and forecasting as needed.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to verify construction progress.
  • Facilitate scheduling and planning meetings with project teams.
  • Participate in project and departmental meetings.
  • Maintain project schedule records and historical data for future planning.
  • Assist with scheduling estimates and proposal development.
  • Support a high level of client satisfaction through accurate and proactive project scheduling.

My client is currently looking for a Project Scheduler to support major commercial projects in the Triad area. They're a strong full-service Construction Management Firm that has been serving the state of North Carolina for 40+ years with many active projects in the pipeline right now and a strong backlog for future growth They specialize in commercial, healthcare, education, hospitality, industrial and government projects. They have a strong reputation in the Carolinas and have won many awards for their work and culture!

What you will be doing:

What you need for this position:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction scheduling, planning, or project controls.
  • Experience with infrastructure, healthcare, retail, institutional, or other large commercial projects is highly desirable.
