Job summary

40 Harris Las Vegas, LLC is seeking a sales professional to market the company to new clients and develop turnkey solutions for mechanical and plumbing retrofit projects in residential and commercial markets. You will estimate, prepare proposals, and manage customer relationships to drive growth.

Responsibilities include surveying systems, developing compelling proposals in response to RFPs, and maintaining an active backlog of quotes while meeting booking goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Construction Sciences, HVAC, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technical, or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience and knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing systems and components.
  • 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining customer relationships.
  • 1–2 years of proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to understand and communicate energy savings associated with proposed solutions.
  • Ability to prepare financial justifications, including energy savings analysis.
  • Preferred experience with industrial refrigeration.

  • Survey mechanical and plumbing systems, assess needs and problems, determine repair, modification, or replacement requirements, and propose solutions to reduce long‑term owning and operating costs.
  • Interpret drawings, equipment specifications, and job conditions; estimate sizes, distances, quantities, time, costs, resources, or materials required for work activities.
  • Develop proposals for current or prospective customers and respond to RFPs with industry‑specific solutions.
  • Document account activities, generate reports, and keep accurate records of business transactions with customers and suppliers.
  • Qualify prospects, deliver effective sales presentations, answer technical and financial objections, and follow up on leads and referrals.
  • Maintain an active backlog of quotes to ensure booking goals are consistently met.
  • Plan and schedule appointments efficiently to maximize productivity and aggressively manage quotes to close sales.
  • Represent the company’s interests and outside agents to maximize profits.

Mechanical Systems Knowledge

Competent understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems and how they function, including the ability to survey systems, identify problems, and recommend repair or replacement. Able to translate this knowledge into proposals that enhance customer facilities while reducing costs.

Estimating

Review specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required estimate contents. Develop proposals and financial justifications, including energy savings analysis.

Proposals

Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements. Provide modification, repair, or replacement recommendations and document them for customer and operations awareness. Propose cost‑effective solutions.

Prospecting

Qualify prospects, make effective sales presentations, answer questions and objections, and follow up on leads and referrals. Establish customer rapport and identify needs.

Customer Relations

Promptly address customer concerns to assure resolution and maintain long‑term positive relationships. Build rapport and productive working relationships with customers, vendors, and outside agents.

Other

Plan and efficiently schedule appointments and manage personal time to assure maximum productivity. This includes aggressive management of quotes to close sales.

Pay Range: $71,078.81 - $106,618.22 The actual salary offer will vary by candidate based on a wide range of factors such as specific skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
