Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Project Quality Manager to oversee quality management for renewable energy initiatives. You will lead quality planning, assurance, and control across the project lifecycle, partnering with engineering, project, and site teams to implement standards and resolve issues.

The role emphasizes a culture of continuous improvement, contractual compliance, and strong EHS awareness, with remote work and travel opportunities within the US and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quality discipline or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of project quality management experience, preferably in renewable energy.
• Six Sigma certification preferred; lead auditor certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and implement the project quality management system according to ISO standards.
• Cultivate a safety-first, quality-focused culture and drive continuous improvement.
• Plan and monitor all aspects of project quality assurance across phases.
• Develop site-specific quality plans and inspection/test plans with the project team.
• Lead lessons learned to enhance future project quality.
• Document quality issues and ensure resolution aligns with contract requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to resolve equipment issues and prevent performance problems.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Project Quality Manager to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space.

This role will oversee project quality management for renewable energy initiatives, with a strong focus on quality planning, assurance, and control across the project lifecycle. The position partners closely with engineering, project, and site teams to implement quality standards, resolve issues, and strengthen execution outcomes. It also supports a culture of continuous improvement, contractual compliance, and strong EHS awareness.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Set up and implement the project quality management system according to ISO standards
• Cultivate a safety-first, quality-focused culture that emphasizes responsibility and continuous improvement
• Plan and monitor all aspects of project quality assurance activities across project phases
• Develop the project site-specific quality plan and inspection and test plan in collaboration with the project team
• Lead the application of lessons learned from past projects to enhance future project quality
• Identify and document quality issues, ensuring resolution aligns with contractual requirements
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to resolve equipment issues and prevent performance problems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quality disciplines, project management, construction management, engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of project quality management experience, preferably in renewable energy
• Expertise in quality planning, assurance, and control; Six Sigma certification preferred
• Experience conducting internal audits; lead auditor certification is a plus
• Familiarity with quality management system standards and strong EHS awareness
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a hybrid environment
