Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a Project/Purchasing Supervisor to support the Manager Supply Chain Systems during ERP/MRP implementation and to lead day-to-day purchasing operations after stabilization. The role requires coordinating schedules, action items, and cross-functional communication to keep projects aligned with business priorities.

Description

The Project/Purchasing Supervisor supports the Manager Supply Chain Systems by coordinating ERP/MRP implementation activities from planning through stabilization, while also supporting purchasing operations and supplier-related execution. This position helps keep implementation tasks organized, cross-functional communication clear, and project activities moving forward in alignment with business priorities.

During the ERP/MRP implementation, this role will coordinate schedules, follow up on action items, support user readiness, assist with process alignment, and help ensure Supply Chain needs are represented throughout the project. As the implementation stabilizes, the position will transition into a Purchasing Supervisor role responsible for supporting day-to-day purchasing leadership, team development, supplier coordination, and long-term succession planning within the Supply Chain organization.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the Manager Supply Chain Systems by coordinating ERP/MRP implementation activities from planning through launch and stabilization
  • Help organize project schedules, meetings, action items, follow-up activities, and communication across departments
  • Work with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Production, Operations, Finance, IT, and other teams to keep priorities aligned and implementation activities moving forward
  • Support training, process readiness, and user adoption by helping employees understand expectations and new ways of working
  • Assist with identifying barriers, coordinating solutions, and communicating progress to management
  • Support purchasing operations by assisting with supplier communication, purchase order follow-up, material availability, and issue resolution
  • Provide day-to-day leadership support to purchasing team members as responsibilities transition following implementation stabilization
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and consistent use of standard processes across Supply Chain
  • Support long-term Supply Chain growth and succession planning by developing knowledge, leadership capability, and purchasing team bench strength
ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong understanding of purchasing, supply chain operations, material planning, inventory control, and production support
  • Experience supporting projects, business system improvements, ERP/MRP implementation, or similar cross-functional initiatives
  • Ability to organize work, follow up on action items, communicate clearly, and keep teams aligned
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-support skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work effectively with suppliers, internal departments, and employees at different levels of the organization
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, business reports, and system information to support daily work and management communication
  • Automotive manufacturing, Tier 1 supplier, or new product launch experience preferred

The pay range provided represents the expected compensation for this position. Actual pay will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications, while maintaining fairness with internal pay structures. We ensure compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws, including those related to minimum pay requirements.
