Job summary

STV is seeking experienced Project/Program Managers – Aviation to join our national aviation team. This role involves onsite support across western U.S. locations including Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; and Los Angeles, CA.

You will lead capital aviation projects with comprehensive responsibilities from business case development to ORAT, ensuring schedule, cost and safety objectives are met. The ideal candidate has 15+ years in construction and/or project management, with track record managing

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of construction and/or project management experience.
  • Experience managing capital projects/programs > $10M.
  • Knowledge of airport operations, design, and construction of airport facilities.
  • Experience overseeing multiple construction activities on complex capital infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management, technical oversight and leadership for aviation projects from design through activation.
  • Guide discipline managers and contractors on program challenges, risk, schedule and budget.
  • Lead and ensure high-quality outcomes exceeding client expectations.
  • Develop program-level processes, controls and governance.
  • Oversee all aspects of project planning and development, including cost estimating and scheduling.
  • Coordinate with airport operators, airlines, regulators and delivery partners.
  • Develop overall program schedules and integrate project-level schedules.
  • Utilize earned value management to track the program.
  • Conduct design/construction progress meetings and present progress to stakeholders.
  • Use Primavera P6, PMIS, and related software for project management.
  • Coordinate traffic/utility disruptions and contingency planning.

Job description

STV is seeking experienced Project/Program Managers – Aviation to join our national aviation team. This position may assist aviation clients onsite throughout western U.S. who are in need of our assistance with aviation projects. Client sites will include Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ, and Los Angeles, CA.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide project management, technical oversight and leadership for all phases of aviation projects associated with a capital improvement, including business case development, stakeholder engagement, design management, design and construction procurement, permitting and federal/state approvals, scheduling, project delivery, cost and change management, safety, quality control, and ORAT.
  • Provide guidance to discipline managers and contractors to address key program challenges, risk management, innovation, schedule and budget performance.
  • Provide leadership to ensure that responsibilities are accomplished to a high degree of quality which exceeds the expectation of the client.
  • Develop project-level process and procedures, project controls and governances that align to and drive overall project goals.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of project planning and development, including engineering and pre-construction/construction; bidding strategy; schedules; cost estimating; budget oversight; systems and facility integration; and commissioning/activation.
  • Facilitate coordination with stakeholders; airport operating divisions, airline operations, regulatory agencies and other delivery partners and oversight entities, as required.
  • Facilitate the development of the overall program schedule and oversee the integration of project-level schedules.
  • Utilize earned value management to track and manage the program and associated projects.
  • Schedule and conduct design and/or construction progress meetings.
  • Drive the planning, design, and construction deliverables to successfully meet the deliverable dates.
  • Present progress to stakeholders and project delivery partners.
  • Use electronic tools including Primavera P6, Project Management Information Systems (PMIS), and other related software systems.
  • Coordinate maintenance of traffic and phasing plans, utility shutdown requests, impact notices, disruption notices, contingency planning and other tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or similar designation.
  • Minimum 15 years of construction and/or project management experience.
  • Experience in successful management of capital projects/programs of over $10M.
  • Knowledge of airport operations, design, and construction of airport facilities is required.
  • Experience in overseeing multiple construction activities concurrently as part of a complex capital infrastructure project is preferred.
Compensation Range

$187,591.53 – $214,390.32
