Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking experienced Project/Program Managers - Aviation to join our national aviation team. Roles involve onsite work across the western U.S.

with a focus on managing design or construction within active airport terminals and delivering capital projects over $10M. The successful candidate will have aviation project management experience, knowledge of airport operations, and a proven ability to lead complex programs from design through activation, including ORAT and regulatory

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • 15+ years of construction and/or project management experience are required.
  • Experience managing capital projects/programs over $10M is required.
  • Knowledge of airport operations and airport facilities construction is required.
  • Experience overseeing multiple construction activities in complex capital infrastructure projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management, technical oversight and leadership for all phases of aviation projects, including design, construction procurement, scheduling, cost and change management, and ORAT.
  • Guide discipline managers and contractors to address program challenges, risk management, schedule and budget performance.
  • Lead to ensure responsibilities are completed with high quality exceeding client expectations.
  • Develop project-level processes and governance aligning to project goals.
  • Manage all aspects of project planning and development, including engineering, pre-construction, construction, bidding, schedules, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with airport operators, airlines, regulatory agencies, and other partners as required.
  • Develop overall program schedules and integrate project-level schedules.
  • Utilize earned value management to track the program and projects.
  • Schedule and conduct design/construction progress meetings.
  • Drive planning, design, and construction deliverables to meet dates.
  • Present progress to stakeholders and delivery partners.
  • Use Primavera P6, PMIS and related software.
  • Coordinate maintenance of traffic, phasing plans, notices and contingency planning.

Overview

STV is seeking experienced Project/Program Managers - Aviation to join our national aviation team. This role may assist aviation clients onsite throughout the western U.S. Client sites include Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; and Los Angeles, CA. A successful candidate will have significant aviation experience and have previously managed design or construction within an active airport terminal environment.


Responsibilities


  • Provide project management, technical oversight and leadership for all phases of aviation projects associated with a capital improvement, including, but not limited to; business case development, stakeholder engagement, design management, design and construction procurement, permitting and federal/state approvals, scheduling, project delivery, cost and change management, safety, quality control, and ORAT.


  • Provide guidance to discipline managers and contractors to address key program challenges, risk management, innovation, schedule and budget performance.


  • Provide leadership to ensure that responsibilities are accomplished to a high degree of quality which exceeds the client’s expectations.


  • Develop project-level processes and procedures, project controls, and governance that align to and drive overall project goals.


  • Manage and oversee all aspects of project planning and development, including engineering and pre-construction/construction; bidding strategy; schedules; cost estimating; budget oversight; systems and facility integration; and commissioning/activation.


  • Facilitates coordination with stakeholders including airport operating divisions, airline operations, regulatory agencies and other delivery partners and oversight entities, as required.


  • Facilitates the development of the overall program schedule and oversees the integration of project-level schedules.


  • Utilizes earned value management to track and manage the program and associated projects.


  • Schedule and conduct design and/or construction progress meetings.


  • Drive the planning, design, and construction deliverables to successfully meet the deliverable dates.


  • Present progress to stakeholders and project delivery partners.


  • Use electronic tools including Primavera P6, PMIS, and other related software systems.


  • Coordinate maintenance of traffic and phasing plans, utility shutdown requests, impact notices, disruption notices, contingency planning and other tasks as needed.



Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or similar designation.


  • Minimum 15 years of construction and/or project management experience.


  • Experience in successful management of capital projects/programs over $10M.


  • Knowledge of airport operations, design, and construction of airport facilities is required.


  • Experience overseeing multiple construction activities concurrently as part of a complex capital infrastructure project is preferred.



Compensation range: $187,591.53 - $214,390.32.
