Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Project Planning Supervisor to oversee enterprise-wide planning and scheduling of projects. You will lead the project management team, develop comprehensive plans, coordinate with managers, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, advanced planning tools knowledge (MS Project, SAP), and excellent communication. A bachelor’s degree and 5 years of PM experience are required; PMP is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 5 years of project management, construction management, or engineering experience including leadership and budget/schedule oversight.
  • PMP is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning tools and software (MS Project, SAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to manage a team.

Your role in our success will be:

The Supervisor of Project Planning is responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of projects or programs within the organization, enterprise wide. This role ensures that project plans are developed, maintained, and executed effectively to meet organizational goals and deadlines. The supervisor collaborates with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.

What youʼll be working on:


  • Provides leadership and guidance to the project management team.

Who you are:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5 years of project management, construction management, engineering including leadership and direction of contractors and/or employees, oversight of people for budgeted projects and schedule

  • PMP preferred

  • Valid Driver's License required

  • Strong knowledge of project planning tools and software (e.g., MS Project, SAP).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven leadership experience and ability to effectively manage a team
