Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation in Delaware is seeking a Supervisor of Project Planning to oversee planning and scheduling of enterprise-wide projects. You will develop, maintain, and execute project plans to meet goals and deadlines, coordinating with project managers, teams, and stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 years in project management or engineering with leadership and budget/schedule oversight. PMP is preferred, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of PM/ construction/ engineering experience with leadership and budget/schedule oversight.
  • PMP preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong knowledge of planning tools like MS Project and SAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management ability.

Your role in our success will be:

The Supervisor of Project Planning is responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of projects or programs within the organization, enterprise wide. This role ensures that project plans are developed, maintained, and executed effectively to meet organizational goals and deadlines. The supervisor collaborates with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.

What youʼll be working on:
  • Provides leadership and guidance to the project management team.
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive project plans and schedules.

Who you are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of project management, construction management, engineering including leadership and direction of contractors and/or employees, oversight of people for budgeted projects and schedule
  • PMP preferred
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Strong knowledge of project planning tools and software (e.g., MS Project, SAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to effectively manage a team
