Client Overview
A global materials science manufacturer with a large optical fiber and cable operation in southeastern North Carolina. This role sits inside the product development group and supports a portfolio of active capital projects, from design and planning through commissioning and closeout. You would be the go to person for schedule accuracy across the whole portfolio, working directly with project leaders, engineers, and contractors.

- Advanced proficiency in enterprise project scheduling software for building and maintaining integrated multi project schedules

What You'll Do
- Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules across multiple active capital projects
- Establish project baselines, run critical path analysis, and build recovery plans when a schedule slips
- Partner with project leaders and project teams to monitor progress, forecast completion dates, and manage schedule risk
- Facilitate Last Planner System sessions, including pull planning, look ahead planning, and constraint management
- Track and report schedule performance metrics such as Percent Plan Complete and portfolio health indicators
- Build portfolio level dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries
- Support project reviews, governance processes, and leadership reporting
- Drive improvements to scheduling processes, planning standards, and execution effectiveness
- Train and coach project teams on scheduling best practices and Last Planner methodology
What We Need From You
- AAS degree or higher in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field
- 5 plus years of scheduling, project controls, or project management experience
- Advanced proficiency in an enterprise scheduling platform for CPM schedule development
- Strong working command of Critical Path Method, schedule forecasting, resource planning, and risk management
- Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
Preferred / Bonus
- Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project specifically
- Lean Construction principles and hands on Last Planner System implementation
- PMP, PMI-SP, or a Lean Construction certification
- Dashboard and reporting development for portfolio level status and executive audiences
- Experience sequencing construction activities and supporting field execution
- Optical fiber or cable manufacturing background
- Prior experience serving as a scheduling subject matter expert or coaching other team
