Reporting to the Senior Master Planner, the Production Project Planner develops production plans in collaboration with the Project Manager and department managers to support, measure progress, and identify resource, space, and equipment needs for overhaul projects and other modifications.

Responsibilities:

  1. Execute planning activities such as preparing schedules, communication, maintaining programs (EPM, Interal, Winprod, Elogbook, etc.), coordinating special requests, meeting targets, and evaluating upcoming risks to aid decision-making;
  2. Schedule work on equipment based on established project targets, resource availability, and maximize work completed while equipment is out of service;
  3. Coordinate with the planning team on equipment movements and transfers between centers for project needs, and work with Methods and Production to ensure sequence of operations is followed;
  4. Participate in production meetings to identify targets and slippages, and develop, review, and communicate deviation and recovery plans;
  5. Produce and develop performance reports to support department objectives, maintain spreadsheets tracking equipment status, and ensure all pertinent information is available;
  6. Plan and coordinate modifications required by the Engineering department;
  7. Coordinate with production, Control Centre, and planning team for equipment movements between centers;
  8. Coordinate with the Controller on equipment sequencing for maintenance centers, ensuring work is completed as required.

Requirements:

  1. University degree in operations management, administration, engineering, or equivalent, or +5 years of experience in a production environment, including 1-2 years in planning;
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, WinProd;
  3. Excellent communication and leadership skills;
  4. Proficiency with advanced functions of Microsoft Excel and MS Project;
  5. Bilingual (oral and written);
  6. Fast thinker with good decision-making skills;
  7. Adaptable to fast-paced, changing work priorities;
  8. Knowledge of Power BI is an asset.
