Women’s Home Preservation in Baltimore seeks a Project Operations Manager to drive real estate development initiatives in underinvested communities. You will work closely with the CEO and a team of architects, engineers, lawyers, lenders, and other professionals to plan, finance, and execute projects with social impact.

The role emphasizes budgeting, grant applications, fundraising, and ensuring compliance with regulations while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, business, or related field.
• Proven real estate development experience with financial analysis, grant applications, and fundraising.
• Strong financial modeling and pro forma development skills.
• Knowledge of US real estate regulations and compliance.

About this Role

Women’s Home Preservation is seeking a Project Operations Manager who is passionate about making an impact in underinvested communities. This role will provide exposure to community revitalization strategies and empower the successful candidate to develop real estate projects that will create lasting impact in Baltimore City and beyond. The position offers the opportunity to learn how capital can be deployed for social impact while developing and implementing the company’s real estate development projects. The successful candidate will work very closely with the CEO and a team of architects, engineers, lawyers, lenders, and other professionals. This is an ideal opportunity for a bright, energetic, self-starter professional with proven experience in real estate development, pro forma modeling, and project management. The candidate will play a critical role in the planning, execution, and management of real estate development projects while overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring successful execution of initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project budgets, including financial modeling and pro forma analysis
• Monitor project finances, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and optimizing financial performance
• Identify grant opportunities and lead the grant application process
• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure funding for projects and company initiatives
• Support CEO on all aspects of project management, including planning, design, construction, and post-development activities
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project delivery within established timelines and budgets
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders
• Work closely with community partners to ensure projects align with community needs and expectations
• Stay informed about relevant local, state, and federal regulations related to real estate development
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and permits for development projects
• Foster a collaborative and productive working environment
• Lead team members and coordinate across multiple departments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, business, or related field
• Proven experience in real estate development, including financial analysis, grant application, and fundraising
• Strong financial modeling and pro forma development skills
• Knowledge of real estate financing, grant application processes, and fundraising strategies
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of US real estate regulations and compliance
• Strong leadership abilities and team management experience
