Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a Project Officer II in New York, NY to oversee large-scale construction projects from planning to closeout. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience managing complex construction projects from planning through completion.
  • 10+ years coordinating contractors, engineers, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • 10+ years of experience managing project budgets, schedules, and financial reporting.
  • 10+ years of site inspections, safety reviews, and progress evaluations.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, practices, and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee detailed project plans for large-scale construction projects.
  • Coordinate all phases of project execution, from initiation through closeout, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Monitor construction activities, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project impacts.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and prepare financial reports; review invoices and change orders.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, facilitating communication and resolving issues promptly.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff and promote best practices in project management.

Position Description: Join a dynamic multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, construction, and management (AECM) firm with a prominent east coast presence as a Project Officer II. This full‑time, direct‑hire role offers the opportunity to oversee complex public sector construction projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and timeliness.
