Job summary

BMA Group Panama busca un Project Manager/Capital Project Manager para dirigir iniciativas de capital y garantizar que todos los proyectos cumplan con las políticas de la empresa, los SOP y las normas regulatorias. El candidato ideal debe tener formación en ingeniería y experiencia en gestión de proyectos de capital, con capacidad para coordinar equipos y comunicarse

Qualifications

• Requisito claro de título en ingeniería y conocimiento de cumplimiento regulatorio (cGMP/cGMP) en planta.
• Experiencia en gestión de proyectos de capital y entrega de resultados cumpliendo plazos y presupuestos.
• Habilidades para coordinar equipos multidisciplinarios y preparar informes de progreso.

Responsibilities

• Supervisar proyectos de capital desde la concepción hasta el cierre, asegurando cumplimiento con normas y seguridad.
• Incorporar principios cGMP y regulaciones en alcance, diseño y construcción.
• Coordinar documentos de diseño, seleccionar firmas de EE y revisar entregables.
• Elaborar estimaciones de costos y programar avances y costos.
• Gestionar contratos y bids, revisar avances y asegurar entrenamiento de contratistas.
• Proporcionar apoyo técnico a grupos operativos mediante investigaciones y evaluaciones.

Propósito del Puesto (Job Purpose)

This is a managerial position responsible for the execution of the assigned Capital Portfolio Management. This colleague will execute multiple, well-defined projects/assignments efficiently and documents the results expeditiously. Execute smaller projects and participates in larger projects from the initial concept to final close-out. Become familiar with site processes, systems, equipment and resources.

Conducts all activities and makes decisions that are in accordance with Company policies & SOP,s, Values & global regulatory guidelines (including cGMP/cGLP/cGCP), environmental guidelines, as appropriate, etc.

Responsabilidades (máximo de 10)

• Oversee and coordinate well-defined multi-disciplined projects from inception to project completion in support of site operations ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, company standards, operational requirements and business needs. Coordinate information across the project team to facilitate project execution. Prepare routine project status reports. Apply engineering principles and methodologies to project and support work. Identify technical problems and develop problem-solving solutions.
• Apply cGMP principles for the workplace. Incorporate cGMP and regulatory compliance into all assigned project scopes, design and construction activities. Promote safety within the workplace by following site safety procedures. Incorporate safety into all assigned capital projects. Participate in HAZOP Operational Readiness Reviews as appropriate.
• Coordinate and oversee development of assigned project design documents. Select A&E firms to perform engineering design. Coordinate and review work with outside A&E firm relating to designs and deliverables (drawings, specifications, etc.). Coordinate team review of designs. Coordinate design meetings, transmittal of information and document review. Define and document team decisions.
• Prepare project estimates for design, equipment, installation, labor, materials, and other related costs. Work with Purchasing to prepare bid packages for construction and facilities expansion. Prepare project forecasts and schedules and tracks costs.
• Oversee assigned project contract work. Review and approve project contractor bids, request for information, submittals and change requests. Inspect work progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, schedules, and safety regulations. Assure contractors receive necessary orientation and training.
• Provide technical assistance to site operating groups through investigations, equipment assessments, and design support.

A. Formación académica (Educational Background)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Master’s Degree in Engineering (Preferred)
• Certified Engineer

• More than wight (8) years of experience in capital project management.

D. Demandas Físicas y Mentales (Physical and Mental Demands)

Sedentary work that requires frequently sitting, walking, standing, bending, repetitive hand movement, simple grasping, and fine manipulation. Occasional move and lift (less than 10 pounds) and climbing. Attendance is required in unusual working hours, shifts and schedules including weekends and holidays.

Must understand and follow a set of clear oral and/or written procedures without deviation. Must adhere to a provided work schedule. Works with diverse groups to obtain consensus.

• Conduct all manufacturing operations in accordance with adequate sanitation principles.
• Reporting quality issues and concerns through appropriate site or corporate processes.
• Take measures to exclude from operations any person who might be a source of microbial contamination due to a health condition following site procedures.
• Supervise overall sanitation practices and ensures personnel is trained in the sanitation procedures, which include washing hands thoroughly (and sanitizing, if necessary, to protect against contamination with microorganisms) in an adequate hand-washing facility:
  • Before starting work;
  • At any time when the hands may have become soiled or contaminated;
• Supervises and ensures personnel is trained in the processes to prevent contamination of components or products while performing manufacturing operations to avoid potential growth of microorganisms and the potential for contamination.
