Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Construction WWTP Project Manager to lead heavy civil wastewater treatment plant and pump station projects, primarily in Utah with limited travel to neighboring states. The role requires a strong background in project management, budgeting, and coordination with environmental agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management methodology on Heavy Civil WWTP/Pump Station projects.
• Develop and manage budgets and cost projections.
• Coordinate with environmental agencies and ensure permitting compliance.
• Oversee startup and commissioning of treatment systems and equipment.
• Negotiate and purchase materials; manage site safety and labor planning.
• Maintain owner relations and ensure project scheduling and progress.

A bit about us:

We are a waste water treatment plant construction team based out of UT, TX and AZ. We are looking for multiple project managers. UT has little to no travel. TX will require travel (per diem and housing provided) unless you live close to El Paso or Las Cruces (this is easy travel). Job Details

Qualifications:

• 7+ years' experience with Pump Stations, Treatment Plants and Public Works
• 4-year degree - Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

As a Construction WWTP Project Manager, you'll be responsible for project management methodology on Heavy Civil WWTP/Pump Station projects.

Ideal Candidate background:

• Direct experience managing wastewater or water treatment plant construction, especially involving PFAS or similar contaminants.
• Familiarity with design-build delivery, permitting, and coordination with environmental agencies.
• Understanding of startup and commissioning of treatment systems, including pump stations, clarifiers, and advanced filtration technologies

Experience may also include:

• Budget development
• Managing cost and "Work In Progress" projections.
• Managing job site supervisory personnel.
• Planning and scheduling the project.
• Developing and maintaining owner relations.
• Negotiating and purchasing materials.
• Establishing and enforcing job site safety expectations.
• Managing overall project costs.
• Overseeing labor projections.
• Contract negotiation and administration.

The following additional Self-Perform Experience is a PLUS:

• Process Mechanical/Process Piping
• Concrete structures
