Overview

Join Haskell's dynamic Construction & Manufacturing Team as a Project Manager specializing in Water/Wastewater projects. We are committed to fostering your growth through innovation, skill development, and comprehensive support. In this role, you'll oversee subcontractor and vendor management, bid preparation, cost control, scheduling, and client interactions, from project initiation to completion, impacting project success and client satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting project directors with RFP responses, including conceptual estimates, schedules, and proposal documents; participating in client presentations if required.
  • Monitoring design document progress, participating in design reviews, and providing input on constructability, scope, and cost changes.
  • Collaborating with construction leadership to organize the project team, including superintendents and PCE requirements.
  • Coordinating with authorities for permits, inspections, and approvals with A/E.
  • Managing client relations through meetings, correspondence, reports, change orders, and inquiries.
  • Preparing requisitions for payment, maximizing project cash flow through invoicing and collections.
  • Securing owner acceptance of change orders, updating budgets, and issuing modifications to subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Monitoring project progress, quality, and safety, and making necessary corrections.
  • Mentoring construction personnel through on-the-job training.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
  • Knowledge of design and construction of water/wastewater treatment facilities and industrial infrastructure.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, plus at least 5 years in construction management.
  • Expertise in managing budgets, schedules, and resources amidst multiple demands.
  • Knowledge of estimating, construction methods, engineering, and technology.
  • Strong safety awareness, organizational, supervisory, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

The role requires ambulatory skills to visit various locations, the ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and lift light to medium weights (10-50 pounds). Good hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and visual acuity are necessary for operating equipment and reading documentation. The role involves sitting, reaching, talking, and hearing frequently.
