Job summary

A leading civil engineering firm is seeking a qualified professional to lead water/wastewater projects in North Carolina. This role involves mentoring a team, designing projects, and ensuring client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and extensive experience in municipal project design, along with the ability to obtain PE licensure.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in municipal water/wastewater project design.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.

Responsibilities

1. Mentor and lead a water/wastewater team.
2. Design and manage linear and water/wastewater projects.
3. Interface regularly with clients to ensure satisfaction.
4. Projects include treatment facility planning and design, raw water intakes, water distribution, booster pump stations, regional water planning, water system mapping, life station design, sewer system planning, asset management, and permitting.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
2. 6+ years of experience in municipal water/wastewater project design.
3. PE licensure or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
4. Valid driver’s license.
